I thought it was a matter of time to start this thread! Hopefully I’m not too early with this. Feel free to post stats, major choice and anything else admissions related! Good luck to everyone!
It begins…
@MaineLonghorn might sticky it for you like she did for us.
OK, I’ll start. My son is a jr, applying to start UT in fall 2017. First choice computer science. Top 15% of hs class (hs has been ranked in top 5 public hs’s in TX, fwiw). Likely NMF. Very high test scores but trying to get a higher math score on June tests. Also wants (later) to add second major in music comp. Soon-to-be eagle scout, 4 yrs band (3 instruments) & NHS. Has some cs and music comp projects to talk about. Took AP classes in cs and music theory as well as the usual subjects. Older brother got into CS with similar stats but we know it’s super competitive, so we are crossing fingers like crazy. Any advice appreciated!
I’m sorry, I think I made this when I was sleepy! I made this thread for transfer students!
I’m applying to UT Austin in the Fall as a transfer student from ACC/Texas State double majoring in Computer Science and Applied Mathematics. I have a 3.85 GPA with 52 credits, I’m a member of Phi Theta Kappa Honor’s Society, and have 10 years work experience (working currently). I have a 4.0 at Texas State and just completed Differential Equations with an A. We’ll see what happens
Good Luck @Ryedog87 maybe I’ll see you on campus if I’m accepted too lol
I’m hoping on transferring to UT Austin in fall of 2017.
Major: International Relations and Global Studies(COLA)
Stats: don’t have any yet because i’m graduating HS in 2 days lol. Hopefully a 4.0! That’s what I have in high school and I did the IB program so I’m hoping the community college I’m attending won’t be too hard. I’m actually quite nervous. UT is my first choice.
Okay I’ll give you all my stats
I’m planning to transfer to UT-Austin for the Spring 2017 semester (if not Fall 2017)
Major: Psychology
Credits: 43 or more but I am not a junior. I went to an early college high school and my college did not accept all of my credits.
