Spring Open Campus

Who else here is going to go?
I figure we can all get to semi-know each other here before meeting in person! :]
- my parents made me delete my facebook while i was applying places...

Hmm. I don’t know yet if I’m going. Maybe I will because it’s so close, but I’m going for an overnight before then anyway. When do we have to RSVP by?

I really really wanted to go, especially since I haven’t visited the campus before but I have a really big final right in the middle of it so it doesn’t look like I can |:

I’m going! It’s slightly annoying that it takes a huge chunk out of pre-AP school time, but college is kind of the point of APs anyway, so all is good. :)

yep. the missing school thing is a pain, but definitely worth it, i’d say. because what if after all of this college searching you find that things aren’t what they seemed one way or another.

i’d be honored to see you all there!

Yes, I’m thinking Wellesley’s gonna be the one, but I won’t truly know until I’ve visited - definitely worth it. :)

I’m kind of excited for Spring Open campus. I’ll get to host somebody for the first time! Look forward to seeing everyone! :)

i’m sort of upset about the timing as well, and what’s even worse is that I’m on our schools mock trial team and we made it to nationals, which last for four days…I get back the day before my ap bio exam.
but I figure I can just take my book with me on the plane :]
I’m so excited to actually see the campus!!

I’ll be coming! All the way from So Cal.
Haha, it’s hard to know who’s who once there since we’re all using our account name!

and wow good job vcm91! my best friend is a mock trialer too and I have serious respect for you guys, especially since you’re heading to nationals!

vcm91, oh wow, congratulations! And yes, I hope I have the sense to take advantage of plane time as well. I’m totally looking forward to seeing it too! I think I’m getting more excited by the minute. :)

ExcessiveFluff, hey fellow Californian! I’m from the Bay. :)

vcm91- Don’t worry about AP Bio. If you get a five, you will get a blank credit, but Wellelsey does not exempt from intro bio, and it seems the “accelerated” versions of the courses have been removed.

wm- i don’t really care about the credit to be honest. I just don’t like not doing well on things :]
and thanks guys, i’m really looking forward to nationals!

I’ll be attending as well, with the same reservations (missing a chunk of school right before IB testing) and excitements. I’m so excited to finally set foot on the campus, after all the pamphlets, books, videos, months pining, etc. How many of you are planning on spending the night? And how does that work, exactly?

I’m going to the campus right after my visit to Amherst (my other top choice). I really hope these visits help me decide because I am lost at moment :frowning: Oh, and also from so cal, so it’s quite a trip. The AP bio test isnt that bad, but good luck anyway (and to the rest of us who are probably taking a bunch of other tests too)

I’m going! I live close to campus, and it’s during school vacation week anyway, though, so I lucked out! Definitely spending the night, and I’m hoping that the admitted students program sorts of things don’t cut in to our ability to go sit in on classes. :)

The schedule for spring open campus is set so that you have time to go to classes, learn about activities on campus, go to various activities, hang out with students, take a campus tour, etc. Don’t worry about time!

i think i’m going…even though i have to skip my AP Chem final.
Does anyone know that can we choose not to stay overnight?

Yes, you can choose not to stay overnight, but staying overnight gives you more of the “real” experience at Wellesley – meeting more students, seeing how you could potentially live for the next four years, etc. You can choose to come just for the events during the day though.

Keep in mind that Spring Open Campus this year falls during Spring Week, so you will have tons of activities to go to during the day and at night!

What’s Spring Week?

Do any of you know when we need to register by? Also the link to register? My acceptance packet got lost in the mail, they’re sending me another, but I’m worried it won’t get here before I need to register. Thanks
