spring or fall

Hello, I a community college student who is planning on transferring to the University of North Texas. I've been able to get a large chunk of my core out of the way by attending full time during spring and summer. After this summer I will have 27 credits. UNT requires 30 credits, or they require you to send in your HS transcript and SAT scores. My grades in HS are less than desirable and I was wondering if UNT would count my fall classes if I decide to transfer there in the spring. Then I will have 43 credits to transfer and I won't have to send in my SAT scores and HS transcript.

Applications are due December 1st and my last fall classes end on December 15th. I'm wondering if I should transfer in the spring or just wait until next fall.

I’m wondering the same thing. I’m sending in my apps to University of Michigan (Michigan resident), NYU, and BU and my fall back, MSU. I’m taking 29 credits this summer at a community college and have 11 from the winter semester. My high school grades are horrible but i have an awesome letter of rec from a teacher who was my teacher in high school and who is my professor now. I have about a 3.7 and I’m freaking out of the winter semester is harder to get accepted into than in the fall. I really want to get out of the community college =/

Definitely wait until spring. You will be competitive with more college credits under your belt. Also Colleges won’t put too much weight on your HS records and test scores.

Will my fall credits count for transfer if I go in spring though?

Sorry, I didn’t really make it too clear. I’m definitely going to a community college still this fall. I just am wondering if I should try to transfer in the spring after. I really want to, but only if my fall credits will count towards my transfer. If they don’t, I will only have 27 credits and will have to send my HS transcript in.
