Does anyone know if it is easier to transfer into the spring semester than the fall at UVA?

I have a 3.55 now at the University of Pittsburgh and only intend to bring it up this coming fall semester but if I would have a better chance applying for the spring semester with that gpa..obviously I will take it.

Thanks

Wait until the fall. Spring transfer admission is very very competitive, and only 30-40 students matriculate then. I do not think a 3.55 would be particularly competitive, and waiting until the fall gives you an extra semester to bring it up.

Additionally, there are a lot more resources available to in-coming transfer students in the fall (summer orientation, housing options, etc.).

Thanks for the reply, I will just have to wait for the fall then.

^If you still really want to apply, you can rollover your application in case you aren’t accepted and update your application with new grades/accomplishments. Check out the transfer admission blog if you haven’t already - uvatransferadmission dot blogspot dot com. If you go back a few years there’s a lot of information on acceptance rates for spring and fall transfers.

Oh ok, thanks I will check that out.
