<p>I really want to transfer to FIT for fashion design. My grades, SAT scores and the rigor of my previous schools is probably quite a bit above what FIT usually accepts. I have very good sewing skills and plan on making a couple dresses from patterns for my portfolio. My drawing skills are okay; I'm currently taking Fashion Art and Design I in FIT's summer session.
So, I'm wondering if Spring admissions are supposed to be easier than Fall admissions. Also, if so, do you think it is worth it for me to apply for Spring? I'm going back to my current school for fall 2012. My decision will be based on how much I am enjoying the first month I am back and how significant the benefits of applying for spring 2013 are. I definitely want to transfer to FIT by fall 2013.</p>
<p>Decemberist29, did you get accepted to RISD when you applied there years ago.</p>
<p>I did the RISD pre-college program two summers ago. I applied to Wesleyan ED and got in; so that is the only school I applied to.</p>
