spring priority enrollment prob

so i had priority today..

i heard that discussions are retricted to enroll 1/2 of the max # during priority enrolment. but i tried to enroll into a chem discussion 10/26 filled and it didn't work. it's not even 13 and it doesn't work. Why? what did i do wrong?

depends.
what does your error message say?
also, keep in mind that the enrollment count on the registrar's site aren't updated in real time, so it may be the case that it WAS at 13.

"The number of spaces allocated to your priority group in this section has been reached."

i refreshed, and it is still under 13

sounds like the enrollment cap was lower for this class.

i have a love-hate relationship with priority this quarter... of the classes i wanted to use my priority on, they were all already full... it just figures that that would happen for the last time i have to enroll...

Sometimes the priority cap is 1/3 of the enrollment cap. That's just what I've found.

Edit: nvm, doesn't really apply to you. Oh well. Sucks for you, dude.

Re-edit: Maybe you have to look at the numbers for the entire chemistry lecture? Has 1/2 of the enrollment cap been reached yet?

Re-re-edit: Doubt it. Never mind.

^ Lmfao!!!!!!

Fack you, dude.

Couldn't use my priority for anything. :[ The joys of public schools...

same here...not even my fav seminar...

DWM, refreshing the registrar page isn't gonna help if it still isn't updated.
there's a link someplace on the URSA enrollment page that keeps count in real time, i believe. try that.

I can't make ANY of the cluster seminars that are open. i wonder if i could be an exception and be the 21st person in my first-choice seminar (20 ppl max per seminar). i planned to register for my seminar during second pass next wed.

OR:

i'll take writing II in the summer anyway (for english minor), and that, I THINK, is the only type of credit i will get in the spring seminar (correct me if i am wrong)...so drop the cluster's spring seminar? but, would that look bad on the transcript? esp for med school?

Please give me some advice. I am soo worried. Thanks.

at least you have priorities.. engineering school don't have priority and it is so hard to sign up for classes like chem physics and math because all the priority kids took the spots during priority enrollment

maybe i should register for another course other than the spring seminar cluster this wed during my second pass?? what do u think? this is b/c the TAs say that they won't let more ppl into their discussion until someone drops it. i repeat, all of the seminars that don't conflict w/ my other classes are full, 20/20... :(

i talked to my counselor today and she said it won't hurt to drop the clst. so i am 99% sure that i wont take the seminar portion and will make up writing II through english minor.

instead, should i take math 3c or art history 54 (GE)?

here's 2 of my potential schedules:
math 3c
chem 14b
ls 2
(lotsa math/sci?)

art hist 54
chem 14b
ls 2
(how is art hist 54? i am totally relying on bruinwalk)
