I'm planning on transferring next fall quarter to either UCSD or UCLA (so far ive only gotten into UCSD and im still waiting on UCLA).

So, when i posted my Transfer Academic Update (TAU) in January, i really had no idea what spring quarter classes I would be taking. I was hoping to be taking Physics 6B and 6M (the lab) along with 1 GE to finish my gen eds and an extra "useless" class just for credits and the fun of it. I kept it updated in march with what I thought wouldve been my final schedule. However, I just swapped out one of my classes for another class today and i tried to update my uc apps again but it wouldn't let me anymore (the update application button was gone).

Instead of Physics 6B, 6M, 1 G.E., and an extra "useless" class, ill be taking Physics 6C, 6N, 1 G.E. and a different "useless" class.

I originally wanted to take natural history of dinosaurs for my extra class for fun, but i found out that it would be almost impossible for me to make it to that class on time because i have my GE class right before that and it was at least a 20-30 min walk with only a 10-15 min passing period. I also didnt want to get caught late to class during a midterm for example or an important class day, so i decided to change the dinosaurs class to an art history course instead.

Would the physics class and the extra class change cause me to be rescinded from any schools? On my contract for UCSD it says that if anything doesnt match up correctly from what i reported and what was sent through transcripts to them, it could be ground for being rescinded.

This post is a long read but im kinda stressing out about it. Anyone in the same position and talked to any counselors? I was planning on calling UCSD and UCLA tomorrow to report my changes

There should be a form linked to you that you have to update specifically for UCSD. I would call UCLA’s admission’s office if you aren’t able to update your information via the UC application website.

It shouldn’t be that big of a deal unless your physics class was a major prereq and the new physics class you’re taking doesn’t fulfill it.

yea ive been trying to look for an update site for UCSD and UCLA, but i dont think they have any specific sites to update it. I may have found it for UCSD, but im still not sure if thats the correct place to update it or not.

Anyways, i duno if other people have this question too. Ill try to call both schools tomorrow and update my status here if anyone has the same questions as me.

Ive actually just swapped my art history class with another earth science class that I wanted to take before but was full.

EDIT: my physics class was a pre-req but so is this new physics class im taking. I pretty much just swapped the 2nd part of the series with the 3rd part of the series because the 2nd part had no open labs for me when it was time for me to sign up

I had to email UCSD for another reason, but if you do email them they give you a link to the e-form that you have to fill out for any academic changes (this is specifically for UCSD). Within my email they described what I had to do for my situation (I had to fill the e-form out) and gave me the link to that form.

EDIT: Here is what is said in the email they sent back:
"Please use the e-form on the UCSD Website for academic updates.

The links you will use are :

Admissions
Transfers
Waiting for a Decision
(Under Transfers) Transfer Update Form"

But I would also suggest that you specifically call them or email them and notify them of the change as well in case you have to do anything else.
