A heads-up for those of you coming in for Mac's Spring Sampler tomorrow: 6-9" of snow in the forecast with highs in the low-to-mid 30's. Be prepared.

As it turned out, about 5" fell.

And, if you are coming to the second Sampler next Thursday, keep an eye on the forecast because snow is predicted for that one, too. (!)

For those wondering how common April snow is in the Twin Cities, it is fair to describe this as atypical but not unprecedented. Just think of it as a chance to appreciate meteorological diversity.

And it’s a dry, warm snow…:)

We had a very cool and rainy day last April, followed by an absolutely gorgeous spring day. Then in the fall for orientation a spectacular week of beautiful fall weather. We have not been back since, but coming from San Francisco we are looking forward to experiencing that beautiful campus in the snow. Our freshman son has not complained a bit about the weather.

3-6" more coming in.
