Math 1B
Philosophy 25B
Stats 20 or 21 (haven't decided - advice appreciated)
3 unit breadth class

I'm planning to sign up for Math, Stats and the 3 unit breadth in phase 1. However, I heard from someone that you can take stats online over the summer and its really easy? I can't seem to find any info on that. Would it be better to do that and take something else this semester? Is taking math and stats in 1 semester going to be difficult?

Oh and does anyone know if stats 20 or 21 is easier? And how are the curve in those classes? is it anything like econ 1?

And info on the difficulty of philosophy 25B would be appreciated too :D

I know nothing about the difficulty of the courses, having never taken any of them, but I will note you will have to pay a few thousand extra dollars to take Stats (any course, really) during the summer. Just keep it in mind. It might not matter to you (it seems not to matter to anyone! you guys and your disposable incomes...) but it's worth pointing out for others to remember.

First off, you won't be able to sign up for Math, Stats, & a 3 unit breadth in Phase 1. You only have 10.5 units and that equals 11, so you have to decide on picking two. I'd suggest picking Stats (depending on if it is a big section or small) and if you really want the Philosophy class, then Philosophy.

The stats class over the summer is regarded as "easy" because it is done online and is by Professor Stark. Stark was hands down the easiest stats 20 or 21 professor to take during the Fall or Spring. However, he has not taught in the Fall or Spring these courses for a while and only teaches Stats 21 over the summer. It does cost a lot of money compared to take this course which is something to consider. However, even though Stark is easy and the class is online, I have heard that this online summer course is actually tough, especially if you cannot understand and learn on your own.

For Spring 09, the 2 stats courses taught by Ibser are the ones you want to avoid. He has a 20% A, 30% B, rest C or lower for all his courses. If anything, try to take either Gel or Bhatnagar if you are taking stats next semester. As for the difference between stats 20 and 21, I have heard that there really isn't any.
