I'm a sophomore and I still need to take Econ 100a and b in order to declare next semester. For anyone who has taken these classes before, is it doable to take Econ 100a and b at the same time? ( I will just take a breadth class + a decal along with those)
I know that only one of them is needed to declare, but I wanna finish all the prereq in the 4th semester so that I can start to take upper div in my 5th.

Yeah, sure go ahead. That actually sounds like an easy schedule, if that’s all you’ve got, unless the Econ gods have vendettas against you or something.

should I phase I Econ 100a and b?

Most upper division electives have 100a as a pre req so you should phase 1 100a

I’ve heard that Econ 100B is easier than 100A? Is that true??

In general yes 100b is easier than 100a. I find them both uninteresting though.

Also, you have like a 90% chance of getting into the class if you phase 2, but phase 1 if u absolutely must take it. I actually signed up for 100a the day before the first day of class and still got in (albiet by the skin of my teeth)
