So I'm a freshman at Umass Dartmouth applying to transfer to Umass Amherst. Although I have 16 credits because of AP's I have to still apply as a first year as opposed to a transfer because I haven't completed any college classes. Although classes are great and I've made many friends; the small school feel, no school spirit, and lack of social scene made me not like the school which is why I'm transferring. I applied there and was accepted in the fall and I'm basically just not sure if its harder to be admitted in the spring because I know they receive far less applications in the spring (I'm an engineering major and I saw they received only 46 first year applications last spring).

My Stats:
GPA: 3.7
ACT: 30
SAT: 2070
AP: 5 total (Passing grade in 4)
Leadership: Captain of football, Captain of outdoor track, student government positions
Other Activities: Job experience, community service hours, national honor society

I don't know if someone has to transfer out of the college of engineering for me to be able to tranfer in? Basically is it harder to get accepted in the spring and if it is how good are my chances?
