Anybody hear back already for spring semester decisions? I'm not sure how long it's supposed to take but I hear that it can take all the way until January 1rst.

Woo hoo, I did end up getting accepted for the spring semester. Anybody else going to be coming in for the spring semester?

i'm going! wooooo i'm pumped.

what was your guys stats? and congrats!

Katygaav,

Are you coming in for the spring semester as a freshman then?

Clarabella,

My stats weren't like stupendous but I think my essay, along with my extensive work resume shone through more than anything.

UW GPA: 3.5
W GPA: 3.9
SAT W: 760
SAT CR: 720
SAT M: 550

Pretty good extracirriculars; I lived overseas for a while growing up and included that significantly in my app... very good essays and strong recommendations from my teachers and also one from the CEO of the company I work for...

yah i'm going in as a freshman transfer. i'm transferring from university of missouri as an english major. ummm my stats are...
high school GPA: 3.0
university GPA: 3.4
ACT: 29
i was accepted as a senior but chose mizzou cause of their j-school. but chapman was always my first choice so i re-applied towards the end of the semester and got in. i think what got me in was my extra curriculars. i wrote/was an editor for the newspaper, radio dj, played lacrosse, served on student government. good luck!!

That's pretty cool. I'm coming in as an English major too. Are you going to orientation on Jan 30th?

That's pretty cool. I'm coming in as an English major too. Are you going to orientation on Jan 30th?

yup im excited, are you? so are you a freshman transfer too? where are you transferring from?

I am a freshman transfer, just transferring with a few credits from a local community trade school. I've actually been living in SC for a while. I've been on CC for a long time and haven't updated my profile yet, but I'm driving back to Cali at the end of the month for orientation.

that's coooooooool. have you gotten any housing info yet? i'm really anxious to find out where i'm living hahaha

No, I haven't received any placement yet. I'm kind of crossing my fingers that I get a double, and would prefer Pralle or Henley. They just got back into the office today so I think they'll start placing in the next week or so.

congrats to both of you. i'll be applying as a transfer for fall09. hopefully, i'll be able to get in. i had a 3.5 gpa prior to fall 08 but got heavily sick and gpa dropped to 3.17. =/ i'm praying that they'll understand my circumstances and i'll get asked for my spring grades.

judging by what it says here...it could be this Saturday, the 10th that we find out early decisions for all majors except film production. I'm so NERVOUS!!!

CHAPMAN UNIVERSITY

Blotkey, thats for early decisions for Freshman Fall 2009 applicants, right?

Ahhh! I am so anxious it's not even funny!!

I'm so nervous too! I just keep obsessively checking my WebAdvisor and running out to the mailman...

I think the mailman is most likely tired of seeing my face everyday in the middle of the street. :)

mainevent, I doubt you'll get a double. My S lives in Henley, and I don't think he even knows any freshmen who have doubles. That could change next year with the new dorms, though.

I spoke with a housing advisor and he told me that the policy of triples for new students primarily applies to students entering in the fall semester when housing is much more limited. However, as not many freshman actually do enter within the spring semester it is much more rare to find them.
