I’ll be at both The Music Man and The Philadelphia Story and can’t wait!!

Crimes of the Heart is a staged reading, just to be clear.

I am so excited to be heading out to CCU to see The Music Man this week! Sending break a leg wishes to theatrelvr’s D, sjstxmom’s S, AlexaMT and the rest of the great cast and crew! If any CCers will be there for the Saturday audition feel free to send me a PM if you have questions or would like to meet up at the show. I am going to the Thursday and Friday night shows :)

Here, here austinmtmom…cannot wait either. We will be attending Friday night (just hubby and I) then we have an entire “boatload” of people for Sat. night! We will see you there! And my sentiments also… break a leg everyone. From what I hear, it is quite a show and something they have all been proud to be a part of! Also, break a leg to all you auditionees this weekend and on the 26th!

Break a leg wishes to Alexa and her cast mates. You guys are fortunate to be doing such a fun show. My daughter and wife will be in the audience Friday night, and they are pumped up for it!

Thank you everyone! We played to a completely sold out crowd of 550 or so last night (had to turn 50 people away) so word of mouth is spreading. I’m very fortunate to be cast in such a phenomenal show- apparently something big hasn’t happened at CCU for a while so the entire cast is very excited to have a few days off, but more than thrilled to re-open for next week.

Wife and daughter got home to Texas yesterday, raving about “Music Man” and the theatre program at CCU. Big kudos to the cast, crew, set, directing, and everything related to the production.

They were impressed with the weekend audition process, and how involved the faculty and students were, while still putting on a big production like “Music Man”.

We would never had known about CCU without all the posting on this board from AlexaMT and austinmtmom and others, so big thanks to them for being champions of this program.

@arrdad…so glad your wife and daughter enjoyed Music Man…what a spectaculor show it is…I caught it twice last weekend and am going back twice again this weekend…and so glad your D had a good audition experience. It is such a stessful time, that seeing smiling and happy faces amongst the students and faculty certainly helps ease the tension. Good luck to her in this exciting journey!

Thanks theatrelvr for the good wishes. It’s great that you get to go see Music Man again. Hope your daughter is having a blast.

The Music Man closed yesterday after an outstanding run. I had the pleasure of seeing 2 shows opening weekend and was just blown away by ALL the talent on that stage. If my math is accurate, I estimate than over 1/3 of the department was on stage for Music Man. What true depth of talent they have at CCU! And from what I saw and my D and her friends told me it was a great experience.

I also got to stop by on audition day during lunch and got to visit with some of the students and faculty. It was beautiful day and so nice to see prospectives, parents, current students and faculty enjoying lunch in the Edwards courtyard. I hope all those who auditioned had a wonderful day.

And finally, I got to MEET the fabulous kjgc, who is even nicer in person than he is in the cyber world of CC! You can tell that he truly cares about the students. It was great watching him interact with the cast and crew before the show. Nice to get to be a bit of the “fly on the wall” that afternoon and see my D in her element. I can’t wait to head back in April!
