Spring Transfer Advice....

So, I tried to transfer out of my small LAC in Erie, PA this year and things did not turn out well. I applied to GWU and Georgetown; waitlisted at both. (I am on the extended transfer waitlist for GTown until Monday..but that doesn't look likely).

At any rate I would like to transfer in the Spring now. I am looking for schools with majors offered in Finance & International Business, as well as decent programs in economics & international affairs.

Sophomore (in the Fall) with 45 credits.
ACT: 28
HS GPA:3.6 COLLEGE: 3.9
HS ECs: above average, well rounded.(Bands,Sports,NHS,Decathlon,Animal Rescue etc.)
College: student government,Habitat for Humanity, International Students Association.
Extensive volunteer work with International Students & involvement with Habitat for Humanity.

Did volunteer work in Guatemala & Indonesia this year, taking online classes while teaching english in Peru this semester.

Sorry if the stats/ECS etc are rough I just posted this really quick no need to list everything; just a general idea of schools that offer spring transfer admission. thanks

So, what is your question? Which schools offer spring transfer? A lot of schools do. If you’re unsure about specific schools, I’d suggest using College Board’s College Matchmaker; you can specify major, and on each school’s page at the bottom of the ‘Admissions’ tab, it will say when they accept transfer applicants.

If GWU and Georgetown, why not American?

Well, I actually called today and Georgetown said I was with a couple of people left they were still reviewing this week, so I might transfer in this year? Also, I visited American and did not really like the vibe of the campus, GWU or GTown seemed to be a better fit.
