I don't think that's the case with spring semester transfers. At least my friend nor I received any emails. We both were sent small letters. I'm almost positive I saw that explicitly written somewhere on the admissions website.

Congrats to all accepted transfers!

I'm really starting to wish I had applied for spring semester instead of next fall but I'm still feeling good about next year. I'm visiting the week after my exams are over and I can't wait to finally see the campus after all this anticipation over transferring. Any specific places I should check out for those that are familiar with the school?

Hopefully I'll be there with you guys in fall '08!

I'm transferring from Ithaca College which is about one minute away and just to warn you before your visit...it is bitter cold down here. But definitely check out the buildings associated with the school you want to apply to along with A&S cause I imagine a lot of electives will come from there (at least in my case it will probably be that way). Since you'll be an upperclassman transfer check out west campus too, it's where a fair amount of greek life is located and they just built 3 new dorms just a short time ago. Oh, and if you can GO to the Robert Purcell Center dining hall, its like heaven for college kids. Other than that check out the libraries and gyms/community centers and Collegetown/The Commons. It's a really..."unique"...area but I've loved it so far.

Other than that...I advise that you get a map/tour. CU's campus can be a little overwhelming at first.

Oh yeah I forgot, Trillium is also a pretty good place to get lunch and it's a la carte so they accept cash/big red bucks/etc. The art gallery is pretty cool too, there is an amazing view of Ithaca from the top floor. You'll probably end up running into gorges as you walk on campus so don't worry about missing those.

cool, thanks Palmer!

i got into cornell today!

Congrats fellow Cornellian!

How were you notified kityung? congrats!

Gregcroom4 - i was notified by e-mail. by they did attach a copy of the letter that they sent me.

it seems that many of you already recieved acceptance letters. but are there anyone who actually got one from art and science?

aetherex, I applied CAS and heard nothing. I suppose the decision is going to be released next week, which is my final's week.

i'm CAS too. you know what, that's so relieving because i thought that it's only me who hasn't notified of admission decision.

my final is two weeks from now, but i don't think i can manage my exams well. i mean i just can't concentrate.

anyway, good luck for the finals.!!

any updates today?

I'm going to call the office Wednesday...

Yeah, you really should be finding out soon guys, housing is only guaranteed if you apply by Saturday the 15th...

Palmer045 thanks for that information, i thought housing is automatically applied after i get accepted. I'm definitely calling on wednesday, if nothing happens by then.

do i apply for housing as a transfer or a freshman student, if i qualify for both?

^^I think you would apply for transfer housing.

Aetherex...i would be a little worried if you haven't received anything yet...i just called about housing and they said the 15th is the absolute last day to apply for housing...but then she say, we could always help students find off campus housing. ( i was like are you f'ing kidding me)

They kept losing my materials so my app was finally complete friday...but i am expecting to receive notice by weds-thurs at the latest....

i called the admissions office today and they said that they wouldn't be sending the Case for Cornell Packets with our user names and pins to register for housing with until next week.

Then i talked to housing and they said that we could still register for housing and be guaranteed a spot if we register next week.

have any of you guys registered for housing yet and received the Case for Cornell Packet?

what is the case?
