I'm currently about to start my sophomore year as a Media, Culture, and Communications major with a Film/TV Production Minor at NYU but I'm looking to transfer to UVA beginning in the spring semester.
NYU GPA: 3.625 - I'm hoping to bring this up a bit with my fall grades.
I'm also taking 19 credits this fall instead of the average 16. I'm in several clubs and I wrote for the NYU paper for a semester.
Here are my fall classes:
- American Sign Language
- Human Genetics
- Business of Media
- Media Ethics
- TV Nation: Inside and Out of the Box

I'm also planning to take calculus as a winter session class at my local community college to make sure I have enough Gen. Ed. transfer credits.

My HS grades are ok (3.3) but not as good as my NYU grades, but I came from a very competitive Northern VA High School. In HS I took 8 honors classes and 6 AP (all scores of 3 and above) which explains why my GPA is lower (also grading scale for an A was 94-100) I had a ACT score of 29 and got a 720 on SATII US History.

I'd appreciate any input you guys have!
