Spring Transfer Housing

I'm transferring in this spring and I'm getting a bit worried about housing. Does anyone know if there is any hope for a single? I'm coming in as a junior in CALS.

Don't know about on-campus housing, but it shouldn't be hard to find off-campus housing (either your own apartment, or a private room within an apartment or house shared with other people) for Spring because of the number of students going away to study abroad, etc., even at this late date. Suggest you check the Cornell housing office off-campus list here:
or Craigslist.com, here: http://ithaca.craigslist.org/sub/
and also here: http://ithaca.craigslist.org/roo/
for sublets and apartment shares, respectively.

Thanks, I would prefer on campus housing though. I don't know anyone at Cornell, and dorm life seems to integrate you a lot faster.

I'm actually trying to move out of my single in Carl Becker House for spring semester. I was a fall transfer and would like to move into my fraternity house in the spring. My floor is currently made up of mostly transfers so it shouldn't be too hard to get to know people. If your interested send me a PM or reply back.

Dude, how did you get your acceptance notification already?

I applied for Fall '08, and got gt for spring '09. I haven't received my acceptance notification yet, but I don't have below a B on any of my transfer requirement courses so I don't see any reason why I shouldn't be accepted.

Beansagucheese- I've never heard of a one-semester GT. That's interesting! Have you received the application yet?

Yeah, I turned it my GT application by the 1st of november. It does seem strange, but I think it's because I only needed 3 more courses to complete the 'core' requirements of my major. Now when I go in, I'll only be taking those classes that directly relate to my major.

What college/major gave you a spring GT?

CALS: plant science
