I was wondering if any veteran transfer applicants could comment on when decisions are sent out. The schools I am applying to (Emory, Cornell, Claremont-McKenna, and Rice) say the decision will be sent by December 15th. Is this simply the final deadline or should I really not expect to hear anything until then.
Thanks

Schools are pretty good about deadlines in general, and as the amount of transfer applications is quite a deal smaller than that of freshman applications, the deadlines are easier to meet.
On top of that, because the spring semester/winter quarter start in January, they need those decisions to get out as early as possible, because each respective college/university allows two weeks (or at least all of the ones I have encountered) for each student to accept or decline.

I applied to Wash U they got back to me within the month.
