When applying as a spring transfer are chances increased compared against Fall transfers? I believe less people apply for spring rather than fall, so would competition be reduced? Thanks.

they also accept less

im not in any rush to transfer out but i mean the sooner would be better...what do u recommend, spring or fall or both

Where are you planning to transfer to?
I'd put both if it works for you personally....increases your chances

on the harvard app, i checked the box that says fall or spring depending on availabe space. i got in for spring. they take 50 for fall and 25 for spring, and i don't know what would have happened if i'd just checked the box for fall. don't check the 'either' box unless you really mean it though- obviously i'm thrilled to be going to harvard, but i really want to go to the college i love and am going to graduate from in the fall, after such a hellacious year at uvm i just want to be over with it all. i'm going to talk to the head of the college counseling team at my prep school tomorrow and have her make a call for me, but i doubt it will make a difference...

apply for spring, if rejected, apps are usually good for one year, so change app time for fall, saves money, possibly time and gives you a bit of room if you need to take a certain class or two becuase admissions will send a list of classes are grade requirments they are looking for from you in order to be accepted
