Spring Transfer

thanks everyone..
.. let me make one thing clear.. i transferred from india.. and out of 48 credits that transferred, i could only get classes worth 25 credits waived off. which means that effectively i still have to take some classes that sophomores would take... which means i have a lot of electives/credits that dont count towards my major.. you see..
I have just taken 3 core classes out of 13 odd.. till now
which means that i havent taken a lot of core classes...

and i wouldnt be tansferring in senior year.. i'll be transferring in junior year..P.S.- I want to transfer coming January... (JAn 07)
please rethink and tell me if there's a way out...

Thanks a lot everyone

okay, rephrase, it's really very difficult to get accepted as a transfer if you're above sophomore standing.

Nope, I know many students with less impressive stats who were admitted as seniors into top 25 schools.

nspeds really? ADMITTED as seniors or APPLIED as seniors? Because i'm looking into stanford and they dont allow you to transfer more than 60 units from another institution.

Sorry, I knew I would get in trouble for putting it that way. Those students applied as juniors, and were admitted, but had to do their junior year again. I call them "senior transfers" so I can distinguish between them and regular junior transfers.

are the 'junior' transfers usually successful in transferring all their credits from other schools to ivy leagues? especially engr. students?
