Has anyone who applied as a spring transfer heard yet?

yeah, i got accepted. i'm unsure about the dorm situation though. i want to know what my chances are to get a dorm at rosemont.

congratulations speirs! I just got the acceptance letter today. I am also curious though, did you get any financial aid? On novasis it says that my financial aid award is zero and that I am required to fill out the Loan Entrance Interview Process for the Fed. Stafford Loan Fund. So I'm guessing there is no money left to go around? lol
And the dorming situation worries me too. I'm sure if you call the Housing office they will put you on a waiting list with no guarantees. Let me know how it goes please

Congrats guys. Where you transferring from?

hey B05TON. I'm transferring from a CUNY. I haven't decided if I want to attend yet because of the housing issue and am still waiting on the financial aid package which I should get tomorrow. Since you live 10 min from campus, can you rent me a room? :) I'm joking
I was wondering your thoughts on the business school. I read in another thread that you think it is overrated. Why do you think this?

haha my friend is selling his house--interested? :P
It's a fine, solid business school. Absolutely nothing wrong with it. I never really knew it as as good as it's advertised. My stance on colleges has also changed--I transferred from one of the most expensive schools in the country to a state school. I really dont think college is worth 40-50K a year. I dont think the connections and internships at a school that expensive are so ahead (if at all) of what I can get (I would say the exception would be at schools like Wharton and Stern).

I'm transferring from CW post, and i just got my fin aid today. it's all in loans which sucks, a lot. i also don't know if the estimated cost of 26000, for this next semester includes room and board.

Makes sense because that's what BU is per semester

lol B05TON, i definitely see your point. thanks for your insight
speirs, my estimated cost was only 23,000 and change and I assumed that room and board were included because the total for students living on campus is $47,000. why is your estimated cost so high? and did you receive a credit evaluation letter? i have yet to get one and the deposit deadline is fast approaching

yeah, they messed it up, my estimated cost came out to 23,000 as well. With the acceptance letter they gave a number to call regarding registering for classes. When I called that, they spoke with me about credit transfers and were pretty easy going about it. As long as I get over a C in all my classes they said they would transfer. Now i just hope that being 11th on the housing list is high enough for something.

so i got a dorm at rosemont. no official word on roommates or anything, but it's pretty cool. word.

Come to Philly :)
