Spring transfer?

does anyone know anything about transferring in the spring?
i was waitlisted all summer and ultimately rejected…but i don’t want to give up just yet!
is anyone else doing the same thing?

no really…the deadline is rapidly approaching…
do i stand alone?

hey there… I applied for sprig 2010

I’m on the fence and yes I know the transfer date has passed. If I cannot apply for the Spring I guess I’ll apply for the fall.
What school are you at now if you don’t mind me asking?

I applied for the spring too
Though I am a bit anxious because they said decisions would come in from November 20-December 10, and I am thinking I was rejected because I have received nothing.

I got my decision letter today. I was accepted!

Congratulations! That’s always pleasant news.

Thanks, wej!

FINALLY! Me too :]

Yay! Congratulations. :)

Congrats to both of you!! What schools do you come from?

I go to emory

idumea, CONGRATULATIONS! I am so happy that you got in and that you and I didn’t give up after that fall 2009 rejection letter.

I am from Montgomery County Community College.

hey everyone! saw this thread and thought I would comment because I just got into Barnard as a spring transfer from the University of Wisconsin - Madison. Not sure if I’ll go yet though.

What does anyone know about past spring transfer experiences there? I’ve heard that making friends on campus in NYC can sometimes be a little difficult.

Congrats, rnewms!
I have heard that it may be difficult to make friend at Barnard, but what offsets this is the bastion of diversity that you find in Columbia University ( all colleges included) as well as the numerous other NYC colleges. Also, another student who got in told me that she suspects that the group of spring transfers will most likely be very close-knit.

Hey everyone, I was just accepted as a spring 2010 transfer as well…still not sure if I should go to Barnard.
I’m also considering holy cross & colgate. i’m mostly concerned that it will be really hard to make friends at barnard because it’s in the city, and esp as a soph. transfer.

Any suggestions?
