Spring Transfering

If you are entering college in the Fall, are you allowed to apply for transfer to Cornell the following Semester? (i.e. apply for Spring 2014 if starting college Fall 2013) or do you have to wait for the following spring?

No one knows anything about this??

From Cornell’s Transfer Site:

“To apply as a transfer student, you must have already matriculated full-time at another institution and/or graduated from high school or you have earned 12 or more credits at a college or university since graduating from high school. If you are enrolled in a dual-enrollment or early-college program and haven’t yet graduated from high school, you will apply as a first-year applicant.”

[Admission Requirements | Admissions](http://admissions.cornell.edu/apply/transfer-applicants/admission-requirements)

Although I don’t see the point in applying as a transfer for spring of your freshman year, you will have no grades, and nothing to really show change…

So you can transfer freshmen year?

I think you can since you are matriculated at a full time university…however again, what’s the point, you won’t have any grades available at the time. So it will be like applying as a high school senior, in a more competitive environment.
