Does any California schools accept spring transfers?

Running list…

Washington U. in St. Louis
W&M

OCC - it really depends on which major you are looking for to apply for UC’s in spring.

Brown
Skidmore
Chapman
Vassar
Wellesley
Barnard
Swarthmore
Pitzer

Colgate (I think?)
Bard
McGill

Most schools admit a very, very small percentage for spring transfer.

Thank you. It’s for a history major

He probably needs a list of less competitive schools. W&M would be somewhat of a reach but it’s his dream school.

I would say get him to make up a list of schools he wants to attend (maybe 10-15) then type the school’s name + “spring transfer” into google.

All UCs except UCLA and Cal.
Although I THINK some majors in UCLA are open during spring. <– not sure

Brown accept spring transfers indeed.
But the deadline for both spring or fall transfers are March 1st(or 15th, I dont remember.) applicants would indicate their preferred entrance in the application.
So basically u could consider it not accepting spring transfers.

swarthmore does NOT accept spring transfers.

amherst, and occasionally middlebury.

again, that’s way too selective for his stats. I’m looking into W&M, University of Richmond, and UCI for him.

Is Hampshire considered a good school?

Not true, the Brown Spring Transfer deadline is November 1st of next year…its on the website as well as the common app.
