Hi I'm currently a freshman at an out of state school located in MA. I really love JMU and was wondering what the chances that I could be accepted in the spring transfer window are. I know it is very competitive as they only take 100 and most are from the VCCS with an AA degree. In high school I graduated from one of the top high schools in the state and the country with a GPA of 3.3 and SATs of 1250 but had a bad first semester at college with a 2.5. This semester however I am on track with around a 3.6 at school and was wondering if I have any shot at getting into the spring as it is so limited.

On a side note do you think spending my fall semester as a sophomore at a VCCS school such as Blue Ridge CC would give me a better shot of being accepted?

Thanks,
