Spring Visitation Weekend (Feb 21-24)

Anybody received an all-expense paid trip to Notre Dame?

Umm... no? But please, tell me how I might.

Yes, but I was invited to Reilly Visitation Weekend in late March.

Do you know what specific reason you were invited for?

I went to Spring Vis last year!
Spring Vis is basically an all-expense paid visit for accepted students of diverse multi-cultural backgrounds to experience Notre Dame, speaking with students/faculty, living in the dorms with student hosts, eating at the dining halls...

Notre Dame usually has it a few times during the year and believe me, it will play a big part in your decision-making process. Take advantage of this! :)

Does anyone know if you can be invited to the spring visitation if you have visited the campus before?

I'm of a diverse background, but I guess you can only be invited to one, so they invited me to Reilly.

Does the invitation come with your acceptance letter?

I got the Reilly thing, too. It was sent in a separate envelope a few weeks ago.

You can only be selected for one. And as for when the letter comes, it should come separate from the acceptance letter. For regular decision, the Spring Vis letter came 3 weeks before official decisions were made.

ducktape- perhaps you are considered minority regarding your intended major???? by the way---LOVE, LOVE, LOVE your blog, and yes, your MIT acceptance notification won my award for "best college notification story"!!!!!

Are you attending Reilly weekend ???? Wink, wink, as if a little wining and dining could steal you away from your beloved :)

Did anyone see this today in the Wall Street Journal? You have to wonder about this as a factor as well.

i got that invitation. i don't know which i'm going to though.

It should say either "Spring Visitation Weekend" or "Reilly Visitation Weekend" and will have a date on the invite.

I'm going to Spring Vis! :)

congrats!

i'll probably have the pleasure to host one of you guys. it's gonna be a great time!

so it’s an invitation only thing?

how many of you from socal are going to this thing?

I’m from socal and going. I hope it’s not a drastic change of temperature!

It’s actually pretty nice weather right now  No jackets, and some people are even wearing shorts and stuff

i heard that weather in nd is crazy though. my teacher says that several years in the summer that it was 106 and that in the winter that is bone-chilling cold. I would definitely pack a myriad of clothing options.
