Spring VS Fall Transfer (2014)

Hello all........

I am a new member and this is my first time posting, not sure if this is the right place for this question but here it goes.....

At the end of this year (Fall 2013 Semester) I will be done with my associate degree in engineering. I plan on applying and hopefully transferring to a good 4 year college. My dilemma is if i should apply for Spring 2014 or Fall 2014 semester. The degree that I am trying to get into is Bio-medical engineering. The community college that I currently attend is in New England (Boston area). The schools that i plan on applying:

Cornell University
GA-Tech
RPI
WPI (my community college has an articulation agreement, I`m guaranteed entrance)
UT at Austin
Purdue
UMASS (Amherst/Lowell)
Carnegie Mellon

A few of my classmates have advised me against applying for the spring semester. I am really concerned about this issue. I really don`t want to push my application for Fall 2014 because I have a good momentum going with school and also I am 27 years old so I do not want to waste time. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks in advance.........

I don’t see what the cons are for applying for the Spring semester unless the schools you’re applying to won’t offer courses you need to make progress on your degree.

Thanks for the reply whenhen

Some schools have lower admission stats for transfers in the spring, but I don’t see why not!

schools accept less students for the spring and generally have less FA in the spring
