Honestly, my family does not have a Sprint phone plan. I don’t even go to Cornell, but my sister does and I KNOW she switched to Verizon as soon as she decided to attend. Verizon is highly recommended and has the best reception. Therefore, I would recommend switching. This was also said in the tour that I attended at Cornell.

DS1, Cornell '10 would agree that Verizon is the best in Ithaca.

Agreed, I would definitely recommend against keeping Sprint. I had Verizon my first year here, which was okay, but spotty in some buildings and dining halls. I have AT&T now and it literally works everywhere (even in the “underground” west campus dining halls)

We have Sprint and it can be very spotty. Son does not get good reception in his dorm but can get ok service other places around campus. Thinking about switching his phone to Verizon. It is very annoying to have phone conversations with him when we keep getting cut off.

I have Sprint and I would definitely advise against it. I get service on central campus, but not really on North, where all the freshmen live, and NEVER in my dorm. My friends that have Verizon and AT&T never have a problem, so if you can, switching would be a great idea!

On campus, Sprint isn’t as reliable as AT&T or Verizon.
