Honestly, I'm not sure. I'm not a math/science person. What do you want to do in college? They're both difficult and it's honestly about what you're stronger and weaker in that will determine which you do better in.

I'm actually not sure at all. I just thought that Physics would be interesting and that Spanish would be too, but I want to make sure that they are not extremely hard to do well in!

Maybe this will help... what is the rest of your schedule?

Band

All I know for sure is that I want to take English Lit AP, Economics AP, An AP Science (that's why I'm wondering how hard Physics is) and there's a few others that I'm still contemplating. We don't have to tell our counselor for a few more weeks, so hopefully I'll have decided by then!

oh and (I am the OP)...with this schedule does forgoing science seem all right for the most competitive colleges? mainly top LACs? I really can't stand science.

bumpppppppp

1st semester it was:

Econ

I leave school at 11 nowadays.

To those people who posted back on the 27th or so - Physics B doesn't require Calculus, but knowing it may save you some pain and confusion and lots of needless work when you're in the motion sections.

Physics without Calculus isn't Physics....

^

Well that's a snobby thing to say. I'm learning the basic principles of physics fine without calculus, not everybody has to delve into the complexities. It's like me saying English isn't English without James Joyce; you don't have to read him to appreciate and understand the subject because he's extremely difficult (although extremely influential).

Um, even basic principles require an understanding of simple calculus...like how velocity is related to position and vice versa.

AP Biology
AP Economics (Macro+Micro)
AP US History
AP English
AP Physics C or Human Phys or AP European History
