Srping Viz?

Has anybody heard if and when ND will have Spring Viz this year? The diversity fly-in weekend would give admitted students of diverse backgrounds an opportunity to visit that they might not have otherwise.

It is march 27-30, and invitations went out last week

Thanks! Good to know. Anybody get one?

I did!

Does anyone know approximately how many students are invited to this event? I could not find anyone else who was invited this year.

@6xdandangp did u get ur invitation by e-mail or mail?

I received my invitation by email:

We have reviewed your application for admission and are convinced that you will be admitted to Notre Dame, and that you have much to contribute to the academic, social, and spiritual life on our campus. We would like to offer you an opportunity to gain a better sense of our academic resources and campus community so that you can make an informed decision about where you will spend your collegiate years.

It is our pleasure to invite you to attend the

SPRING VISIT WEEKEND, March 27-30, 2014

During this special weekend, you will meet faculty members and administrators, attend classes, and have the option to tour our beautiful campus. You will stay in a residence hall with a current Notre Dame student, meet other potential Notre Dame freshmen, befriend current Notre Dame students, and have the opportunity to ask lots of questions.

Because of your interest in the University and our interest in you, this is an all-expense paid visit that includes the following:

Students will be flown into South Bend, Chicago O’Hare, and Chicago Midway. Chartered buses will be at all three airports to transport students to/from campus. Students who live in the immediate area of Notre Dame are asked to arrange a ride to campus. Students from the broader region around Notre Dame will be asked to take the bus, train, or South Shore to campus – we will cover the ticket expenses.

Provide accommodations with a Notre Dame student in one of our 29 residence halls.

Cover meal and entertainment expenses throughout the weekend.

Sorry if the formatting is a little messed up.

My daughter received one as well. I emailed them to ask if they planned on having meetings or events for parents or would they recommend that my daughter attend alone. (We would be flying in from California). I received a very nice email back suggesting that she attend without me since the events are focused on the students.

Congratulations to your daughter!

Congratulations to you guys

Thank you 6xdandangp and 8senough and Congratulations to you as well!!

I think they invite 160 minorities

PS. the letter said “We have reviewed your application for admission and are convinced that you are LIKELY admitted to Notre Dame”
They never say that “You WILL be admitted”

but in reality you WILL be admitted lol

congrats guys! I wish I had gotten an invite, ND is my top school but nevertheless, you all deserved it! :)

Has anyone heard anything more about the spring visitation? We got an email early last week (13th I think) with a few forms to fill out, which we did. That email said we should hear more this week but we’ve not heard anything else. Just curious if anyone has gotten anything other than the invite email, the travel arrangements, and the email last week regarding the health and release forms?
