Sry....another plead!!!

I've recently been accepted to the Business Honors Program at the University of Texas at Austin (McCombs) and don't know if I should choose that over NYU's school of business, Stern. I want to major in marketing which, according to USNEWS (I know, a very shakey source) McCombs' undergrad program ranked 3rd for. However, I realize that I may change my major, so it would seem that NYU might provide me more options...I guess. I mean, I want to do marketing internationally and Stern IS known for their international business programs.

I know to some this question may be a facile "go to Stern" one, but to those that have graduated from Stern (or know pple who have for that matter), do national businesses recognize an undergraduate Sternie from a BHP McCombs undergrad?

To list some stats on BHP for McCombs...
-the avr. SAT was a 1458
-avr. acceptees were in the top 2.4 percent of grad. class
-"all admitted students have held major leadership roles in their schools and local communities"

McCombs has also won several major business competitions, even being placed in the top, if not topping, Wharton in a recent competition this year.

Being that this is an NYU post I'm sure many are familiar with Stern's selectivity.

Please comment, I need some serious advice/help!!!!!!

anyone? pls?!

bump...help....

bump for the last time guys...then i'm just going to let this one go and get on with life haha :)

It up to you to decide is my advice. Or just GO TO STERN.

Thanks for your reply wyseson... :)wish it was that easy though

hehe you sound desperate.

but honestly, I guess it's hard to tell you because those both sound like great schools/programs. You'll definitely succeed wherever you go-- I'd recommend calling up some current students and alumni and see what they have to say about academics, environment, job opportunities, etc. Their insight really is helpful. Also, try to visit both if you can and see where you'll be happier (sounds cheesy) but you don't want to decide based on stats/rankings. Go with your gut. Good luck! I know how stressful college decisions can be.

Thanks ichi... hopefully my parents will let me fly over to Austin this month. I've already been to NYU, so at least I've gone to one. Your suggestion to call current students and alumni is a good one. Hopefully I can find some time this weekend to do that. Thanks again...

and by the way, I AM desperate. haha :)
