SSA Leadership reccomendation help...

I'm working on my SSA application and I have to get a reccomendation from someone who can talk about my leadership, personal accomplishments, or community service. I have no idea who to ask...I've done community service and stuff, but I don't keep into contact with people and usually don't sociliaze with authority figures so if I do go call somebody I doubt they'd remember me to well...

Many people don't know me well so this is kind of difficult. I do alot of art and I'm taking AP studio art right now, could I ask my art teacher to do the reccomendation. Art involves some sort of personal accomplishment right? I'm also a tech intern at my school so I could ask the lady that kind of supervises us...I put in one my essays that my tech internship (fixing laptops at school) showed leadership, because I had to approach people and help them and all that.

I have friends of the family that know me and could vouch for me, but I want to save those for last.

Your art teacher sounds like the right choice in this case. I can think of only a very few instances when a friend of the family would be the right person to write a recommendation letter.

You want people that have “worked” with you, not people that know of your accomplishments through your parents.
