I know many of you have already taken the SSATs. What were your favorite books you used if you studied? How much do you think they help?

I took the SSATs this year without using any books. I'm just wondering if the books like the Princeton one work in increasing scores, in your opinion.

The most helpful part of the book that I used (Princeton Review '06) was the vocab section. There were about 4 or 5 words on the SSAT that appeared in the book.

i took 2 practice tests the day before with baron's. on the first one i got a lot wrong on the verbal but on the second one i only missed a few. on the real thing a missed several but not nearly as much as on the first practice. i guess it justs gives you an idea of what it's like....

practice tests from princeton review, but what i think really helped me was Word Smart by princeton review i got an 800 on verbal, which before was my worst section

i liked barrons a lot because it was challenging .
i think that princeton review is good for that , reviewing and tests .
this year i used the arco book. it had some good tests and review too .
i got good scores this year cuz i did that book like the whole way through .
dancer , i like how you're planning for next year already !
