What were some essay topics that were encountered on the test?

My friend had a topic that went along the lines of “Reading takes you back in space”. Then she had to say if she agreed with it or not.

@ clairee thanks:)

HEYY!! i took my ssat today and it was SUPPER easy! Also my essay question was " failure is defeat only if you stop trying." but every essay question is different so good luck!!

Really? For this SSAT I got the topic “Some things can be both ugly and beautiful”

Today I took the SSAT, and my essay topic was, “Common sense alone is better than a formal education?” Do you agree or disagree?

A lot of kids choked in my group of test takers, at least that is what they were saying. I think I did well! I did great on the practice test, but I really am unsure… Good luck to all of you!

When I initially read my topic I had no idea, then I though Eureka!

I got the essay topic: you have to expect things of yourself before you do them.

Guys, don’t post the essay topics on online forums! It’s technically violating the rules…Just be prepared to think quickly at the SSAT site. Having someone give you several random essay topics and then writing an essay in twenty five minutes will totally help.

Oh woops. I wonder if a mod can erase this thread.

Eh…just don’t discuss it in the future, I guess.
Good luck to everyone taking the SSATs soon! Remember they’re not as hard as they seem. I know all of you guys will do great.

I’m glad I didn’t have a prompt that was ambiguous in meaning…pretty straightforward. I would share it with you all, if I could. Some of you up there ^ had prompts similar to SAT prompts. Kind of confusing to me, and @PrepGirl, if I was there, I would be one of those that choked lol
