SSAT Failed!

I took my first SSAT, now sure what went wrong but I got 50% for reading.
My second time taking it, I got 75%, which is a bit below my average
and now, I have taken my third test which is 94%

On my first test, my percentile overall was 81, my second test was 88, and my last test was 97

When I went to send the SSAT’s, I accidentally submitted my 81% to Choate, and it’s horrible! I love Choate so much, and I want to go there, however, if they see my 50% reading score they will definitely have second thoughts on me.

The interview was great and super nice, but I messed up so badly by sending the wrong SSAT.

I then sent my second SSAT (88%), and my third one too (97%)

The problem is, the third test was taken on Jan 19, 2015, and it was a flex test for my January 10th test. I couldn’t attend it because I needed to go to China and my visa expired :frowning:

Choate says that they won’t consider tests taken after the Jan 10th test, but my best test, the 97% was taken on Jan 19 (even though it was meant to be Jan 10)

Do you think that they will still count my third one? What do you think their reactions will be to my first test? It’s horrible! :frowning:

Thanks guys

According to the Choate website, “Applicants should plan to take the appropriate test no later than January 10.” should ≠ must. Maybe they’ll consider it, maybe not. Regardless, it’s out of your hands.

These people don’t have time to psychoanalyze your file. They’ll ignore your first score and consider the second test (or, if you’re lucky, the third). Good luck

Those scores are hardly “failing”. Relax. SSAT scores are just one component of a (hopefully) well-rounded application.

The AO at Choate indicated that they “superscore” so I would not worry about it. Definitely submit the last score even if it is after the deadline. It will get in before they make a decision and it will help. good luck!
