I'm looking into having my 6th-grade son take the SSAT in the near future. There are few options for the next national test date (January 9), and it conflicts with another commitment he has. The website gives several nearby options for flex dates - some schools, some consultants. I've left some messages, but I doubt that anyone will be getting back to me soon. Does anyone know how the flex scheduling works? Do schools offer this only to their own students? Do consultants offer this only to their clients? If it is available to my son, does it cost a fortune?

The last day to register for the 1/9 national test date is Dec. 25. There is one center with openings about 15 miles from here, so I will have to jump on this if the flex thing doesn't work.
