SSAT Help?

How do I study for the SSAT? My test is on the 8th of January (ack!!) On practice tests I've aced the math section and done 90%ish on the analogies... Vocab, ehh, not my strongest subject--I'm getting 85%s... How do I study for the Vocab part of the test?? any suggestions? how did you study for it? and the whole test? how do the practice tests compare to the real dealio? Practice test are in the Princeton Review SSAT Prep book.

Thanks for all of your help! :D

Freerice.com helped me a lot.
I would suggest around level 30.

Cramming vocabulary words is pretty tough. You might have better results if you study some Latin and Greek roots.

I recommend you study a few roots but also use flashcards and such for vocab  Verbal is really the easiest to study for in my opinion, so you should try to milk that section for all it’s worth.

VOCAB:
-make flashcards for vocab (do a google search for common SSAT words)
-make 3 boxes, one for words you know, one for words you kind of know, and one for words you don’t know.
-and then you sort of go through the flashcards, and it’s like playing a game =)
-once you get down to the words that you really can’t remember, then make up weird rules/sentences about the word.

MATH

 • i went over all the american units… since i use cm and m. but if you use inches/yards, then study the cm/m but it’s really easy to understand.

READING

 • reading is the hardest to study for… take a few practice tests. remember to read carefully, not just the passages but also the questions.

WRITING
-just hope that you get a good topic =P
-remember that you only get one page so don’t write too much. usually you are required to write with pen.
