Just wondering how all of you studied for the SSAT. I'm going to use two prep books, which have study tips and practice tests. I'm not sure there's any courses around my cities. Any good online resources? Any other good ways to study? Thanks for answering!

Online tutor can be a good idea
Just search the Google

Work on the vocab in the books, using cards, an app or online vocab site, so you can review the words you are learning frequently, and the words you know occasionally. The vocab helps lots of things, not just SSAT, and comes in handy for PSAT and SAT too.

Thanks a lot, prepdream and 2prepMom. How early did you start studying?

Ivy Global has free SSAT tests online. Their books are also probably the most thorough. I would also get a copy of the Official Guide and maybe PR/Kaplan.

If there are no classes, I’d probably recommend getting a tutor.

I memorized a shoebox worth of flash cards from the prep books. The only word from the list that was on there I missed:) (I probably shouldn’t have given myself a week to study)

I thought the Princeton book was good, but they only had ONE practice test for uppers. The Dummies practice tests were awful, but they had great “hacks” for the analogies.
