SSAT question

Hi-

This is my first message. Just got my Nov score: 96% overall. I am in a small rural town and not many people consider going to a boarding school so I am sort of on my own.

Question: Do the school take into account that you only take the test once versus 2-3 times? Do the schools look at your overall score, or do they really care about the breakdown?

thanks

According to the SSAT website, for the November 10 test, 11/28 is the day on which scores will be released to students.

Actually the SSAT website says on or before 11/28. When I called SSAT a few weeks ago to inquire about score reporting for November and registering for the December test the person I spoke with intimated that reports may come out prior to the 11/28 date (perhaps before the cutoff for late registration 11/23)

Having said that my D has not recieved her scores yet.

To answer the OP's question, schools don't care if you have taken the test one or two times. I am not sure about three or four.

Make sure to add these e-mails to your address book (for the e-mail account registered with SSAT to receive scores):

info@ssat.org
*@ssatb.com

And check your Spam folder to see if a report wasn't tossed in there. I would expect that the scores will be forwarded by tomorrow given the holiday. I'm just guessing, but the scores come out ahead of the "on or before" date.

You'll know if the scores have gone out because -- if I recall correctly -- the on-line reporting service will be updated to indicate the date they mail out the scores to the schools you asked them to send the scores to. If you go on-line to the SSAT site and it says they sent your scores to the schools, check your e-mail for the report.

My S took the test on Nov 10 and his current school got the results(emailed) the following Friday, Nov 16. We were shocked that they came so soon. I thought maybe they came back so fast because it was a small turnout.
