SSAT SCORES

Are these scores good or should I take the SSAT again.
10th Grade, repeat year.
Schools applying to: Milton, Brewsters, Hill, Lawrenceville, Masters.

Scores:
Verbal: 761, 91th
Math : 797, 94th
Reading: 734, 94th
Total: 2292, 96th

you score is great. dont retake

These scores are considered very impressive and are as good as you will probably get. If you are in the range from 90-97 it’s all sort of looked at as the same. Don’t retake it. Good luck!

yeah, your scores are great; a 96th overall is an amazing feat! congrats

I think as a 10th grader taking upper level SSAT for repeating at that score is not so good. I would take SAT or PSAT rather than SSAT. SSAT is mainly designed for current 8th graders.

Percentiles only compare you to others in the same grade. @cungen is incorrect.

Those scores look fine to me. Good luck!

Should I send PSAT scores or ssat.
PSAT
1330/1520
Math 680/760
Reading 650/760

I’m actually in the same predicament! I also am applying for 10th, as a current 10th grader, not to any of the schools you are though, got in the 95th percentile for the SSAT, with reading at a 94, math a 92, and verbal at a 90. For the PSAT I got a 1350 with math being 730/760, and reading being 630/760. I actually asked this in a separate post and I think the general feedback I got was send both if possible. Showing that your SSAT wasn’t just a fluke, and that you didn’t have to take the PSAT more than once to get an excellent score. Hope I could be of some use, good luck!

I think your SSAT scores looks slightly better. A 96 percentile SSAT puts you above the average for every BS in the country, but using actual SAT scores as a proxy, a 1350 PSAT would not.
