SSAT scores

don't feel bad- my analogies were awful too! I also only got 16 right, 10 wrong, but left 4 blank!!!
the vocab I studied from the books didn't really help me though... I studied from Peterson's and Princeton's test prep books. They were both pretty good, but precious few of the vocab in those books appeared on the test, which was weird because they appeared often enough in the ssat practice tests!

I'm studying Kaplans. There were only 2 choices to choose from at our local Barnes & Nobles. I'm really struggling on the math word problems.

I feel bad- so many people say they struggle on the vocab and the math is the easy part!!
I struggled in math and got a perfect on verbal... Grr I feel off-balance.

ahahah saer dont worry i did the same thing as you!

saer,

same here. horrible grade inflation. i seem to be getting A-'s in my non-core classes like PE and American Sign Language. But for core classes, well, lets just say i have an 176% in math (geometry), my worst subject. That must be my great manipulative skills that I have on teachers, well only the males. I can't convince the females to bump my grades by giving me extra credit, but I can convince the males to bump my grade by absolutely not doing anything. weird...lol

Can I get into exeter with less than a 90th percentile and few extra cirriculars that are more than about 8 months. What can I do to increase my acceptance chances?

Help appriciated.
Thanks.

Well I was a BIG procrasinator (sp) and didn’t even begin looking at my prep books until a little less than a week before. I did get myself familiar with the questions by using Arco, Kaplan and Princeton review and I ended up getting a 2283 (98th percentile) I don’t know if those scores are good or not, but I did get into Andover so they must be decent. So yeah, just don’t stress and try to get yourself familiar with the questions because this test is to see where you are.
