Hi, I'm a Korean preteen who's trying to get into some good boarding schools like-
Phillips andover, SPS, Lawrenceville, Taft, Peddie, and Choate. I have a good GPA and my SSAT's aren't so bad averaging around 91-93% in practice tests. Do you guys think I might have a chance?????

that's definitely in the range of the schools you're applying to. It never hurts to improve on the things that you're not doing as well on, though.

wow. lol. ur applying to andover but not exeter. thats the first time ive ever heard of that

I'm sorta worried that other korean students might to better than me and the admissions office will pick them. How can I make the admissions office accept me??

There will definitely be Korean students who are better than you. You have to be more than statistics. What do you have going for you besides your GPA and SSAT scores?

Once you hit the 90+% schools do not really look at the difference between a 91 and a 94 and make that THE reason they accept one student over another.
Not only could schools fill their incoming classes with 99% students, they could probably do it with 99% Korean students. What makes you special? What makes you unique? A question my son was asked and I think it's a great one...there are 3 students will all about the same stats and only one opening, why should the school accept YOU?
