Hi everyone, I will soon be taking the SSAT (Upper Level) and was wondering where I might be able to get a vocab list. I have the Princeton Review book but I worry that there are many words I'm missing. Also, I wondered if this online vocab list is any good: Full Ssat vocabulary list flashcards | Quizlet . Please let me know of any good resources that worked for you! Thanks :)

There’ll be words that every book will miss for the SSAT because they renew the words and add to them. Granted, a lot of the words will be recycled, so you can expect to find them on the 2011 (2012?) version of the books. I definitely recommend the Princeton Review as it was very good. I have the SSAT/ISEE combination booklet for 2009. I will say that real SSAT is easier than the practice one, for me, at least, so don’t get discouraged if you receive a bad practice test score!

You should definitely know that list, some of them reoccur pretty often. If you have time though it’s always better to add to the list if you have those down. It’s a good habit to try adding to your vocab on a more regular basis instead of doing it right before SSATs. Truthfully if you start exposing yourself to some new vocabs on a regular basis, it will also help a lot when you get to the SATs
