I will say that I’m surprised you’re applying for MITES, because demographics wise, you don’t seem to meet the criteria (race and income). However, you might have other characteristics that I don’t know about, so if you think you qualify, then you should apply. (It does say that any eligible applicant will be considered regardless of race, so idk.) SSP and RSI are both ridiculously competitive, but I think the biggest things to worry about are the application essays and letters of rec. I mean, your stats are what they are and it’s not like you’re going to be able to cure cancer in the next two weeks, so I would just focus on having really good essays.
