Any thoughts on SSP vs NIH? My DS was selected to both this summer. SSP will be remote and there is a slight chance the NIH lab could be in person.

Are NIH decisions out? If so, how can I check it?
DS got into the NIH STEP-UP Program. Results are on the student portal.
My friend did NIH a few years ago and said it was a really good research opportunity and he was able to publish his paper and submit to science fairs. I have another friend who did SSP virtually last year and said it was enjoyable, yet intensive. He did say it was a little bit challenging doing it virtually though. Hopefully this helps
