I realize that two of these programs are math and one is mostly science, but I'm just wondering your overall opinions on each one of them. Is it worthwhile? Is it a good academic experience? Is it a good social experience? Is it well-regarded by college adcoms? Any information/opinions on any of these would be appreciated. Thank you!

bummmmmmmp

Not sure about SUMaC, but in my opinion SSP beats out PROMYS. It's more selective too, I believe. I don't know though, I'm sure they're all great camps, it's really what you make out of it. Also it depends on if you're a math person or not too I guess...

thanks nvision. anybody else?

In my opinion, SSP is the most competitive program out of the three. However, do what interests you most. If you like Number Theory, take PROMYS. If you like Mathematical Topology or other advanced fields, take SuMaC.

However, I would go with SSP for the sake that it would most likely have a tight-knit community. PROMYS also has a nice social community however, definitely not as close as SSP (due to the size of the program). SuMaC, though I haven't heard much about it, is meh.

thanks Mr. Pham

but you're talking about SSP as in summer science program right?

yeah; the one at ojai and socorro
