I am wondering how to interpret the fact that the 2015 financial documents I uploaded to SSS.NAIS on their due date have not yet been verified? The 2014 financial documents were verified on 1/16/2016. I’m a glass is half empty kind of person so should I interpret that as bad news or am I overthinking it?

It usually takes several days and sometimes up to a week to show as “verified”. If you have confirmation that they were received, then don’t worry.
The site is way, way more user-friendly this year; uploading docs was quick and easy for me this time… the earlier you can do it, the better – uploading on the due date seems to be a bit slow, due to everybody trying to beat the deadline!
We did receive notes from the schools congratulating us on completing the application process but I wasn’t sure if that included the financial aid piece. I just called NAIS and they thought that it was maybe because I had put the W2’s in with the whole tax document instead of scanning them separately. I had to check N/A on the W2 section and put a reason. I agree, I found the site to be pretty user friendly as well. FWIW - I asked the very friendly man I spoke with at the NAIS site if I should contact the schools to let them know and he said “if they were concerned they would have contacted you.” Not sure if I believe that but thought I’d share that out.
blue77skidoo: It wouldn’t hurt to send a quick email to the FA director and ask them to let you know if they have not received all the docs they need from you. That eliminates the possibility of you OR them wondering about the application. Best of luck!
