SSV…just got some questions…thinking that since you are in the 4th year…you must know alot about Davs…
What do you think of Davis’ Biological Sciences? How are the bio majors?
How are the teachers in this area?
What is the avg GPA for these students?
If I take the Placement tests this year (and passed) can i take the course next year or since i am taking the test this year i have to take the coures this yr?
Do you know if i have to take the placement test for math even tho i passed the AP calculus?

Oh I wish I could help you, but I know nothing about Bio Sciences. I'm sorry. :-(

hmmm.......okkk

do you guys know how far is from HART to SCiLEC HAll?
walking i mean....
and is it far from olson to segundo/tercero dorm?(walking)

Well, depending on how fast you walk, you can get from Hart to the science lecture hall in 10 or so minutes. But Tercero/Segundo to Olson... that's quite a hike. I would give myself at least 15 or 20 minutes from Tercero, and longer from Segundo. I met one Freshman last year who, after learning a few things her first quarter, arranged her Winter schedule so her classes got out late enough so she could use the escort service and be driven back to Segundo. And that was from the Silo, which is closer than Olson. I'd look into getting a bike.

how about from segundo/tercero dorm to HART?

Well I would say it'd be about the same from tercero, and you'd maybe save a few minutes from Segundo, but nothing of much consequence. Hart and Olson are only separated by the quad/library.

how long does it take from segundo/tercero dorm to HART?

Have you done your Summer Advising yet? If you haven't, you'll be able to visit the campus and gauge distances for yourself. If you have, I would suggest going back for a weekend (if you live anywhere within driving distance), and spending some time familiarizing yourself with the campus, and if they're in, picking up your books. If you can't make a trip to Davis, you'll check into your residence hall before instruction begins anyway, so you'll have a few days to get used to the campus. More worrisome than the time it takes to get from your dorms to your classes is whether you have enough time to get from class to class. Anyway, in the beginning of the quarter you'll have to leave your dorm way early to get a good seat, or even a seat at all. Everyone who isn't enrolled but is trying to add will show up, and it's not uncommon for there to be more students than seats. Just last quarter I was in a class that had 80 seats, and 40 students showed up trying to add. Needless to say, the seats were filled a good half hour before the class started, and 40 people ended up sitting on the floor (and usually they're the people enrolled because the adders tend to get there way early). So, don't worry about it; you'll have to leave early anyway!
