**St Andrews in Scotland Acceptance/Rejection Class of 2021**

@lourveamerican have you heard back yet? I applied to IR as well and still waiting

@fish10 no!!! I am dying of anxiety… I truly hoping we won’t have to wait for April! St. Andrew’s is one of my top choices if not top. UGH.

Hello! Beth Shotton, Director of International Admissions at St. Andrews went to my high school and told me International Relations decisions, because of such a large applicant pool this year, will not be announced until early January. Very disappointing, I know.

That is such a disappointment.

@brismith215 was this only the case for International Relations decisions or decisions for other courses as well? thanks!

At the info session last week they only mentioned doing that for IR.

StA updated it’s Website removing the statement in “After You Apply” about providing decisions for those who apply by 10/31 by the end of the third week of November, and otherwise within 4 weeks of receipt of your application. Now it just says that admissions decisions will be made on a rolling basis:

"We make decisions on international applications on a rolling basis.

If you are an International applicant who applied through a direct application or the Common Application, you will receive a response to your application by email. This email will outline your offer and conditions from the International Undergraduate team. You should respond to your offer by replying directly to this email, indicating whether or not you will be taking up your place.

If you have any questions relating to your offer, please email the international undergraduate team (myapplication@st-andrews.ac.uk) who will be happy to help you. We recommend that you reply to your offer by 31 May."

Hi guys! I just found this thread today. I got an unconditional for Scottish History last week! Really looking forward to going to St Andrews next year. I did a summer program there and absolutely fell in love with the school. Where r u guys from in the states?

@queenharambe California

My D is from So Cal. She doesn’t follow college board- she is hoping to get an offer for Comp Sci.

@queenharambe Boston. Unconditional offer for Psychology.

@montefiore how long did it take to hear a response?

@grevans1679 Applied in September, got the offer on Nov 14th

this is getting concerning…

I would not be concerned. IR has said they are waiting/gating and many other departments are only just starting to look at applications.

You don’t have to make a decision until May. I know it is frustrating to wait- still waiting on 10 out of 11 schools in total at our house, but it doesn’t actually mean anything in terms of your chances of getting in.

Those who got accepted, what were your standardized scores like? Also, did y’all apply through the common app or UCAS?

@froshprospective My daughter applied through UCAS. SAT 2350, several SAT subjects with scores from 740 to 800, several APs with 5

UCAS applicant here, I got in unconditionally

New SAT- 760 math, 720 reading, 20 in writing

ACT- 31

For what course?

I received offers for Modern History and the joint degree in Modern History and IR!
