Which university is held in better regard for Economics degree?

Both strong with the edge slightly on Warwick’s side.

Warwick…

Thanks for the replies guys.

Also could any one comment on the difficulty for admissions into St Andrews? I’ve heard that the criteria is significantly lower for U.S. students because of higher tuition rates, is this true?

You’ll need AAA on A-Levels to get onto the economics program at St Andrews. Warwick requires AAA or A*AAb. Warwick is quite difficult to get into for economics. Warwick is a core university for top BB in the UK. St Andrews is not. Huge difference here. If you want to get into IB or MC, go for Warwick or LSE, Imperial or Oxbridge.

@RML

I’m applying as a U.S. citizen and student taking SATs and AP exams.
